Placement & Internship

Eligibility

Placement Cell helps students in exploring Placement opportunities and provides Internship to the students which is an essential requirement as per the norms of Bar Council of India (BCI) Rules. The objective of Internship is to develop the understanding of legal culture and learn the applicability of the various provisions of law in practical life. The Placement Cell takes up the onus of grooming the students to enable them to take up career in the legal field. As all Cells in Balaji Law College are students driven, so is the Placement Cell.

Activities

The Placement Cell has a representative from each class of 5 year course of B.A.LL.B and 3 year course of LL.B. Under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Surabhi Jain (Placement Cell In-charge) the Placement Cell had taken up following activities:

• Training Session-The cell arranges training sessions for interview, group discussion and written examination

• Lecture Series for competitive exams-The cell provides Lecture series on important subjects for competitive examinations.

• Seminar on Recruitment -The cell had organized Seminar on “Preparation for Interview and Making of CV”.

• Guest Lectures-The cell is involved in organizing guest lectures by representatives of law firms, companies and advocates

• Alumni Meet – The cell organizes Alumni Meet for providing forum of interaction between alumni’s and students.

Rules and Regulations

  • Students have to mandatorily submit an undertaking provided by the Placement Cell.
  • After the internship has been fixed, a student is prohibited from withdrawing his/her name from the internship.
  • Students shall be in their proper uniform during their internship.
  • Students shall carry their college identity card along with any other original identity card (Aadhar Card/ Voter’s Identity etc.)
  • Any complaints regarding the behavioural aspect of the students by the Advocates/Law Firms will be dealt with strictly by the College.
  • Students shall submit an internship report after the completion of their internship duly signed by the respective Advocates/Law Firms.
